Project Manager

Position Summary

Listed work hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

The Technical Project Manager plans and manages projects from inception to completion by developing project plans that adhere to customer needs and company goals.  You will have excellent problem-solving skills and at least 3 years' experience in technical development work and customer interaction.  You will be curious about our industry and have the ability to anticipate the impact of risks, constraints and relevant shifts in our technologies and processes.  Your strong team leadership skills will promote excellent open lines of communication between employees, management and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation
  • Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as risks, milestones and deliverables
  • Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
  • Analyze project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost benefit, risk assessment and return-on-investment standards
  • Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.
  • Oversee acquisition of resources and materials as needed before and during projects by talking with customers, team members, managers, and in-house purchasing and finance staff
  • Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with all stakeholders
  • Staying informed of relevant trends and industry news

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or University in Engineering, Physics, Project Management or similar; Minimum of three years project management experience in a technical field, including development and work interactions with customers; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
